Vaunix Technology has released their new Digital Attenuator, LDA-133. The LDA-133 is a bidirectional, 50Ohm step attenuator. It offers fast attenuation changes from 10MHz to 13,000MHz with a step size of 0.5dB and 63dB of control range with stable and repeatable solid-state digital attenuation. This device is built to fit into a single rack unit for ATE applications such as WiMAX, 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, Microwave Radio and Satcom Fading Simulators.
The unit’s power and control connection is from a standard USB type-B female. Two counter-bore holes are offered for effective mounting and placement. The single channel digital attenuator is intended to operate reliably from -30C to +70C.
Lab Bricks use a native USB HID interface to evade the difficulties in using older serial or IEEE- 488 interfaces executed over USB. As a result, their users can get to work faster with no need to install kernel level drivers, and the devices can be simply used on any system that supports USB HID devices, which includes low cost embedded computers. The Windows and Linux library APIs are created for ease of use with Python, C#, C++, MATLAB, Java, LabVIEW and many other programming languages.
