The Murata SCA10H sensor module, from TTI Europe, comes with ballistocardiology, an extremely sensitive MEMS sensor which is used to detect the recoil effect of the heart pumping blood around the body. The sensor captures this signal which is then passed to a microcontroller.
This enables the microcontroller to extract heart rate and other vital signs information from the signal. The device is a PCB module comprising the sensor and microcontroller that is intended for medical manufacturers to incorporate into their products and a hospital bed.
The contactless measurement enables continuous monitoring without disturbing the patient. The device offers ultra-low noise and narrow noise bandwidth MEMS accelerometer and analog signal conditioning and is easy to use.
