STMicroelectronics MP34DT06J MEMS Microphone, available now from Mouser, is an ultra-compact, low-power, omnidirectional and digital MEMS audio sensor that is manufactured with a capacitive sensing element and an IC interface. This low-distortion digital microphone offers a 64dB SNR and -26dBFS±1dB sensitivity. The capacitive sensing element of this microphone is able to detect acoustic waves and is manufactured using a specialised silicon micromachining process. The microphone provides an IC interface that is manufactured using a CMOS process to enable and provide digital signal externally in PDM format. The microphone operates within -40C to 85C extended operating temperature range and comes in a top-port, SMD-compliant, and EMI-shielded HCLGA package. Typical applications include laptops, portable media players, mobile terminals, VoIP, speech recognition, digital still/video cameras, A/V eLearning devices, gaming/virtual reality input devices, and anti-theft systems.
