Texas Instruments OPA858 Wideband Operational Amplifiers with CMOS inputs are an ideal solution for wideband transimpedance and voltage amplifier applications. Applications needing high closed-loop bandwidths at transimpedance gains in the tens to hundreds of kOhms range are activated when the device is configured as a TIA. An added feature on the device is a feedback pin that simplifies the feedback network connection between the input and the output. The device is optimised for use in optical Time-of-Flight systems. When combined with a high-speed ADC, the device can be used in high-resolution LIDAR systems using a differential output amplifier to drive the ADC.
Typical applications include laser distance measurement, level transmitter (optical), optical time domain reflectometry, distributed temperature sensing, 3D scanner, and autonomous driving systems.
