Vishay Intertechnology has introduced four new 100V and 120V TMBS Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers that give up to 20mV lower forward voltage than previous generation devices. The V30100CI, V30120CI, V40100CI, and V40120CI provide current ratings of 30A and 40A in the TO-220AB package.
With their low forward voltage drop down to 0.36V at 5A, the rectifiers reduce power losses and improve efficiency in high-frequency DC-DC converters, freewheeling and OR-ing diodes, switching power supplies, and reverse battery protection. The devices are perfect for 65W USB Type-C power delivery for notebook computers and mobile devices.
The new rectifiers are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free and provide a maximum operating junction temperature of +150C. Their TO-220AB package features solder bath temperatures of 275C maximum, 10s, per JESD 22-B106.
