Global distribution agreement with leading IoT services provider

Mouser has announced a global distribution agreement with Sigfox, a leading IoT services provider. Through the agreement, Sigfox Sens’it Discovery solution and SDR dongle are now available. Sens’it Discovery is a customisable IoT solution that couples the Sens’it 3 device with the sensit.io application, along with Sigfox connectivity. With a battery life of up to a year, depending on use and frequency of messages, the device includes six different sensors (thermometer, hygrometer, accelerometer, magnetometer, light meter, reed switch) and a central button for multiple use cases. The device operates in the 53 countries and regions where there is coverage and can be configured to communicate in many areas with different Sigfox Radio Configurations (RC) RC1, RC2, RC3, or RC4. Sens’it provides a dedicated SDK, which enables developers to build their own firmware, rewrite the Sens’it behaviour, and use it for their own use case. This makes the device a powerful and adaptable device for anyone who wishes to start with the IoT. The SDR dongle is a powerful and configurable radio receiver and a transmitter that emulates the Sigfox network. The USB device operates for all Sigfox Radio Configurations and gives an easy way for device and solution makers to expedite development and tests, running without any network coverage. Engineers can use the dongle with the Sigfox Device Test Suite. It comprises a comprehensive device developer software toolkit that contains Sigfox Network Emulator for testing end-to-end and bidirectional data transport services between the device and application, along with a Radio Signal Analyser for testing radio compliance with Sigfox Verified certification requirements.
