Tough-contact connectors designed for industrial and consumer applications

RS Components now offers 40 new Panasonic connector products that are aimed at use in industrial electronics equipment and consumer devices. The company has developed narrow-pitch connectors that use their ‘tough-contact’ technology, including FPC and FFC connectors, as well as board-to-board and board-to-FPC types. The ultra-slim-profile connectors are suited to applications where space is at a premium, while also providing excellent shock and vibration resistance. Also, the connectors provide high tolerance to twisting and dropping and resistance to dust, foreign particles and corrosive gases. Designed for use in a broad range of digital devices, and giving reliable performance over a long lifetime, the connectors are one-piece devices and have a back lock structure. They are especially fitting for low profile equipment or where the design needs the horizontal insertion of flex cable. Operating over the –55C to +85C ambient temperature range, pitch types include 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm devices with a range of mating heights from 0.6mm to 1.8mm.
