Amphenol SGX Sensortech VQ548MP Catalytic Combustible Gas Sensor, available now from Mouser, is a low power, poison-resistant, and a remarkably robust device in a certified flameproof enclosure. This small size pellistor is optimised for methane response for up to 5% volume in air and also can identify other flammable gases and vapours. The sensor is intended to allow a suitable instrument to satisfy the various (Group 1) mining performance standards with the basic sensor performance. The silicon pellistor provides low orientation effect, high resistance to mechanical shocks, and assessed as intrinsically safe. This catalytic combustible gas sensor is perfect for use in battery operations and mining applications. The sensor is ATEX certified, IECEx certified, and UL recognised (File E186043).
