Distribution agreement speeds availability of electronic components in Europe

RS Components has signed a franchised distribution agreement with CTS Corporation to support its Electronic Components Group in Europe. Customers across the region will consequently gain faster access through RS to a broad range of electronic devices designed and manufactured by CTS, targeted for use in the transportation, industrial, medical and communications sectors. The components now in stock include frequency control products such as oscillators, crystals and timing modules; rotary selector and tactile switches, electromechanical devices such as DIP, as well as control components including encoders and variable resistors; speciality resistors such as current sense resistors and resistor networks; and a range of thermal management products including heatsinks and thermal interface materials. “This agreement with CTS brings a new direct supplier partnership for RS and represents the addition to our portfolio of another leading electronic component vendor with global manufacturing capability,” said Eric Smith, vice president Industrial Interconnect & Test at RS. “RS has committed to holding an extensive inventory of components from CTS, giving major OEMs and other customers in Europe the benefit of CTS products with RS service.” “RS is a major player in Europe, especially in industrial markets, and a highly valuable addition to our distribution network,” said Tom Kean, global sales director at CTS. “Additionally, our two companies have many shared values in common including delivering exceptional customer service.”
