Texas Instruments TPS563249 Step-Down Voltage Regulators are simple and easy-to-use, 3A converters in a SOT-23 package, with integrated 70mOhm and 30mOhm FETs. The device is optimised to work with minimum external component counts, while also delivering a low standby current. The switching regulator promotes D-CAP3 mode control, producing a fast transient response. This supports both low-ESR output capacitors such as speciality polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors with no external compensation components. The devices offer a fast transient response by launching D-CAP3 mode control. The D-CAP3 mode control supports both low-ESR output capacitors. These include speciality polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors with no external compensation components. The device operates in FCCM, this maintains a fixed 1.4MHz switching frequency during light load operation and eliminates system interference. Also, the device has a specified junction temperature from –40C to 125C. Typical applications include broadband modems, access point networks, wireless routers, surveillance, TV and set-top boxes.
