New range of AC/DC power supplies for digital signage

Ideal Power has a new range of AC/DC power supplies from P-Duke, an award-winning Taiwanese manufacturer. The new TAF150 series power supplies are ideal for digital signage applications, due to their high reliability, and extended operating temperature range of -40C to 85C. Digital signage applications are continuously working at full capacity most of the time, meaning that they need a reliable power supply with high MTBF. Reliability and MTBF are temperature-related, so the components used within a power supply for digital signage must be up to the task and of high quality and tested for higher temperature operations. Full output power can be maintained up to an ambient temperature of 60C, at which point power derating starts. Efficiency is high at 91%, and standby power consumption is less than 0.3W. The power supplies offer active power factor correction and include a built-in EMI filter.
