Texas Instruments OPA2210 Precision Operational Amplifier is the next generation of the OPA2209 operational amplifier (op-amp). The precision operational amplifier is built on the company’s precision super-ß complementary bipolar semiconductor process. This process provides ultra-low flicker noise, low offset voltage, and low offset voltage temperature drift. The device delivers very low voltage noise density (2.2nV/vHz) while consuming only 2.5mA (maximum) per amplifier. This device also provides a rail-to-rail output swing, which helps to maximise dynamic range.
In precision data acquisition applications, the op-amp offers fast settling time to 16-bit accuracy, even for 10V output swings. Excellent AC performance, coupled with only 35µV (maximum) of offset and 0.6µV/C (maximum) drift over temperature, makes the device ideal for high-speed, high-precision applications. The op-amp is specified over a broad dual power-supply range of ±2.25V to ±18V, or single-supply operation from 4.5V to 36V and is specified from -40C to 125C.
Typical applications include ultrasound scanners, medical instrumentation, merchant network and server PSU, semiconductor test equipment, PLL loop filters, lab instrumentation, high-performance ADC drivers, high-performance dac output amplifiers, and professional audio preamplifiers.
