Gateway gives ease of use and minimises configuration and commissioning time

Sierra Monitor FieldServer EZ Gateway is a high-performance, easy-to-use, building and industrial automation protocol gateway for integrators, interface Modbus certified products, and BACnet management systems. The gateway is excellent for use in commercial buildings, campuses, and industrial facilities. The device is available now from Mouser.

The gateway includes Modbus-based devices and systems to BACnet-based management systems over BACnet MS/TP or BACnet/IP protocols. The device couples field-hardened Modbus and BACnet protocol drivers with an easy-to-use configuration interface. Configurations can be constructed in the field or office employing the intuitive web-based interface, thereby simplifying the commissioning and integration process.

The FieldServer DeviceProxy feature enables each Modbus device to be presented as a corresponding virtual BACnet device within the gateway. This gives granular visibility and control over each Modbus device from within a BACnet management framework. The gateway enables users ease-of-use and can reduce configuration and commissioning time, while also decreasing ongoing operating and maintenance costs.

Typical application fields include energy, gas, heating, water, VFD drives, and PLCs.
