DFRobot DFR0592 DC Motor Driver HAT (V1.0) is a Raspberry Pi DC motor driver board including an onboard encoder interface. The device is available now from Mouser. This encoder is able to drive two-way DC motor and DC motor with the encoder. The DC motor driver employs the STM32 microprocessor to analyse the command sent by the upper host and convert into a motor drive signal after calculation. This device is supplied with a high-performance TB6612FNG motor driver chip which is integrated into the module.

The device communicates with Raspberry via I2C that is able to configure and drive motors easily. The motor driver supports 7V to 12V wide input voltage, which can be employed together with Raspberry Pi to create a smart DIY car, DIY tank, balance car, and mechanical fish.
