New USB Type-C cable assemblies for high-speed transfer of data

Stewart Connector, a Bel group company, has added USB Type-C cable assemblies, to complement its USB Type-A, Type-B and micro/mini-B cable assembly family.

The company's USB cable assemblies are created to sustain data speeds up to 480Mbps for USB 2.0, 5Gbps for USB 3.0 and 10Gbps for USB 3.1. These USB cable assemblies comprise a shielded cable design that provides for high-speed transfer of data. The assemblies incorporate an over-moulded strain relief feature, giving protection to the cable and lessening the strain on the conductors.

The company's new USB Type-C cable assemblies employ USB Type-C male plugs on one end and an option of USB Type-A or USB Micro-B on the other. These USB cable designs are excellent for a broad range of applications, comprising IoT applications and POS equipment. They are also an excellent solution for USB Type-C ports that are employed in a range of consumer products comprising laptops, gaming systems and cell phones.
