Evaluation kit accurately measures flow rate of air, oxygen and non-aggressive gases

Sensirion SEK-SFM3200 Mass Flow Meter Evaluation Kit enables the simultaneous evaluation of two sensors to one SEK-SensorBridge. The kit is available now from Mouser. After selection of the sensor evaluation kit and a required SEK-SensorBridge, just download the SEK-ControlCenter software and start evaluating. The kit comprises the SFM3200-250 flow meter and an adapter cable.

The high-performance, low flow mass flow meters are defined by a broad dynamic measurement range of up to 250slm, as well as measurement accuracy at low flows. The kit is intended to accurately measure the flow rate of air, oxygen, and non-aggressive gases. The distinctive design of the flow channel results in a very low-pressure drop through the flow body of the sensor, which makes it ideal for medical ventilation and other respiratory applications. The thermal sensor element ensures extremely fast signal processing time and bidirectional measurement mode, with the signal being internally linearised and temperature compensated.

The excellent performance of the sensor is based on the company's patented CMOSens Technology. The technology enables the integration of the sensor element and the analysis electronics on a single, small CMOS silicon chip. The outcome is a highly stable and precise system for demanding and cost-sensitive applications.

Also, an autoclavable/washable version is available which can withstand autoclave procedures, making it reusable and ideal for expiratory flow measurements.
