Stewart Connector, a Bel group company, has added to its USB connector product range with the announcement of USB Type-C right-angle receptacles.
The company provides two USB Type-C receptacles with different PCB thickness options. Both options incorporate both SMT and through-hole signal pins. Its USB Type-C connectors are created to support data speeds up to 10Gbps for USB 3.1 Gen 2. The USB Type-C connector design has plug/play capabilities where hot insertion/ejection can occur without issue, under a load. These USB Type-C connectors are rated to withstand a peak current of 1.5A per contact.
The company's connectors are intended to satisfy the industries growing demand for economic solutions where space and faster data rates are a premium. These small form factor, very robust and highly reliable USB connectors are employed in IoT devices, laptops and other consumer devices.
