Global agreement to stock 3D tracking and haptics tools

Mouser has announced a global distribution agreement with Ultraleap. Through the agreement, the company now stocks the Leap Motion Controller and two STRATOS haptic modules, offering them to a wider number of design engineers globally.

The Leap Motion Controller is an optical hand tracking module that captures movements of a user's hands with exceptional accuracy. It provides low processing power, a wide field of view, and near-zero latency. The device makes human interaction in the digital world natural and effortless. The device is intended for simple integration into customer applications and can be retrofitted to existing concepts or hardware. Plugins for Unity and Unreal allow developers operating with the two leading 3D development platforms to include hand tracking into their established workflow.

The STRATOS Inspire is a robust plug-and-play haptic module ideal for producing sophisticated mid-air tactile effects for digital out-of-home installations, experiential marketing, and location-based entertainment. The module incorporates a Leap Motion Controller for hand tracking and also incorporates an IP4X splash-proof enclosure. Created for usage in public spaces, the module is certified compliant to safety and electrical regulatory standards (CE, FCC, NRTL, PSE, RoHS, REACH).

Both the STRATOS Inspire and STRATOS Explore incorporate a software development kit for C# and C++, a Unity plugin, plug-and-play demos, and the Sensation Editor tool for visualisation of the haptic sensations.
