Industrial computer easily connects actuators and sensors to the cloud

The Kunbus Cloud Rail.Box, which is a 12-24VDC, 20W, 1.2GHz Quad-Core, BCM2837 1.2GHz, Linux 1GB computer, available now from RS Components, is based on the Revolution Pi Connect hardware technology and connects industrial actuators and sensors to the cloud via 'plug and play'. The user simply plugs in compatible IO-Link masters and sensors, then selects their cloud platform, and the process is completed - from the sensor to cloud in less than a minute.

The device is excellent for fast and cost-effective implementation of IIoT or 'Industry 4.0' projects in interaction with a cloud. Thanks to the innovative 'plug and play' configuration, this happens without any specialist knowledge of, e.g. field buses or industrial protocols.

Cloud Rail currently supports the cloud platforms AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, SAP Cloud, IBM Cloud and Alibaba Cloud (in each case the IoT Hub).
