RS-485 transceiver includes an integrated DC-DC converter

Analog Devices ADM2561E RS-485 Transceiver is a 3kVRMS signal and power isolated device, including an integrated DC-DC converter optimised for low EMI.

The integrated DC-DC converter eradicates the necessity for an external isolated power supply. The isolation barrier gives immunity to system-level EMC standards. The device provides ±12kV contact and ±15kV air IEC61000-4-2 ESD protection on the RS-485 A, B, Y, and Z pins. The devices also offer cable invert pins, enabling the user to promptly correct reversed cable connection on the A, B, Y, and Z bus pins while sustaining full receiver fail-safe performance.

The transceiver is provided in a 28-lead, wide-body SOIC package.

Typical applications include HVAC networks, industrial field buses, building automation, utility networks, and energy meters.
