Alps Alpine expands SKSU Series Automotive Tact Switch product line up. The switch is available now from TTI Europe. The company added the new model which features 5N operating force and 1.04mm travel, to its SKSU Series of compact, middle-stroke TACT Switch line up ideal for automotive use.
The dimensions (WxDxH) are 5.3mm x 5.4mm x 4.34mm. The device offers an operating life of 250,000 cycles. The maximum rating is 16VDC 50mA and provides IP67- equivalent dust and water resistance. The switch provides a compact and quiet middle stroke type. The pre-stroke design helps prevent rattling during switch operation. The device has PWB footprints compatible to SKTQ.
Suitable applications include car audio, navigation and other systems; steering wheel area and onboard units for centre console panels; and other premium HMI applications demanding quiet operation.
