Saelig Company has introduced the SDS1104X-U four-channel 100MHz oscilloscope, a lower-priced, economy version of the very popular SDS1104X-E. Many excellent features have been kept, including the large 7" TFT-LCD display and ergonomic front panel design, while economies have been made by excluding the optional MSO and function generator upgrade abilities, a reduced time-base resolution and vertical resolution, removing web page and WiFi control, and employing one 1GSa/s ADC, not two 1GSa/s ADCs.
The device employs the latest generation of Siglent's Super-Phosphor technology, delivering waveform capture rates up to 100,000wfm/s (400,000wfm/s in sequence mode). The oscilloscope supports 256-level intensity grading and colour temperature display modes, with a maximum sample rate of 1GSa/s and a maximum record length of 14Mpts. For simplicity-of-use, most standard functions can be accessed through the ergonomic front panel design.
The device offers a high sensitivity, low jitter innovative digital trigger system which further supports serial bus triggering and decoding for I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and LIN signals. The model also incorporates history waveform recording and sequential triggering that allows extended waveform recording and analysis. Another powerful expansion is the new 128k point FFT math function when monitoring signal spectra. The new digital design incorporates a hardware co-processor that delivers measurements quickly and accurately with no slowing of acquisition or front-panel response. The device also supports comprehensive searching and simple navigating.
Ten types of one-button shortcuts are offered, supporting Auto Setup, Default, Measure, Roll, Cursors, History, Display/Persist, Clear Sweep, Zoom and Print. Instrument elements include automatic measurements for 38 parameters as well as measurement statistics, zooming, math, gating, history and reference functions, peaks and markers. Multiple interfaces are incorporated, including USB Host, USB Device (USB -TMC), LAN, Pass/Fail, Trigger Out.
