GCT’s USB4120 is part of the cost-effective ionex Type C range. As a vertical mount connector, it offers a very low profile at only 6.5mm high on the PCB.
The device is a new addition to the company's USB line up and provides customers with more comprehensive choice and flexibility in designs. Providing a very low profile of 6.5mm on the PCB, the product features 16 pin configuration and USB 2.0 functionality.
Four through-hole shell stakes and two PCB location posts give the connector excellent stability throughout processing and retention strength at end usage. It is ideal for thinner, 0.8mm thick PCBs adding further versatility.
The company aims to make USB type C a more viable option for user designs. The range offers engineers with the option to choose type C above other USB variants where price has beforehand been a barrier.
