Robust and reliable power supplies for demanding medical applications

COSEL Co Ltd has expanded its medical power portfolio with the PJMA series. The 600W PJMA600F and the 1000W rated PJMA1000F offer a universal input range of 85VAC to 264VAC and comply with international safety standards. Created for demanding medical applications, the series input/output isolation complies with 2MOPP requirements. Based on a sturdy platform, the units’ design has been optimised to provide an excellent price/performance ratio for medical applications demanding a high-quality power solution. The series is provided in four output voltages of 12, 24, 36 and 48VDC.

The series includes inrush current limiting circuitry, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, as well thermal protection. Showing versatility and robustness, the power supplies can be run in an environmental temperature range of -20C to +70C. Depending on the final equipment assembly style and cooling conditions, a derating may apply.

With its medical focus, the series input to output isolation complies with 2MOPP, its input to ground with 1MOPP, and output to ground with 1MOPP. The units are approved in accordance with ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and EN60601-1 3rd Edition.

In conducted emission tests, the series complies with the FCC-B, CISPR11-B, CISPR32-B, EN55011-B, EN55032-B, and VCCI-B. For applications needing even lower emission levels a further filter COSEL type NAC can be supplied (NAC-16-472 for the PJMA600F and NAC-20-472 for the PJMA1000F).

The series is produced in an enclosed, galvanised steel box with fans mounted on the rear side (one for the 600W and two for the 1000W). The PJMA600F measures 120mm x 61mm x 215mm [4.72" x 2.4" x 8.46"] (W x H x D), and has a weight of 2kg max. The PJMA1000F measures 150mm x 61mm x 240mm [5.91" x 2.4" x 9.45"] (W x H x D) and has a weight of 2.8kg max.

The series offers a five-year warranty and conforms to the European RoHS, REACH and Low Voltage Directives.
