Delta has launched its solar string inverter M125HV series Generation 2, an updated version of its 140kVA inverter for large ground-mounted photovoltaic arrays. The device provides the same maximum output as its predecessor but now runs at a quieter 71.5dB(A) level while still providing a peak efficiency of 99.1%.
The inverter accommodates input voltages varying between 860VDC and 1500VDC with a maximum sporadic voltage of 1600V. Up to 20 strings can be attached through Amphenol connectors, for instance, as part of utility-scale ground-mounted installations. The peak efficiency of 99.1% assures high yields. By allowing high input voltages, the latest inverter can decrease the number of current cables must transport, enabling installers to employ smaller gauge wire and reduce energy loss.
“The M125HV Gen2 includes everything that made the Gen1 so popular with customers but is even quieter now,” said Andreas Hoischen, senior director, Business Unit Photovoltaic Inverters for Delta EMEA.
Intelligent cooling blends natural convection with quieter active ventilation. The inverter is IP65-rated and utilises Type-2 surge protection devices on the input and output sides. By circumventing the usage of electrolytic capacitors, longer service life can be possible.
