Novotechnik’s TM1 series linear position sensors are specifically created for straightforward and direct integration within hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder pressure chambers. Available now with full support from Variohm EuroSensor, this particularly durable sensor series is offered with CANopen or CAN SAE J1939 interfaces. With an extensive selection of existing analogue current and voltage signal outputs, the series' 2m working range and absolute positioning resolution of 0.1mm links with its excellent EMC and industry standards conformance to satisfy even more position and speed sensing control tasks in mobile construction and agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles and various other heavy engineering actuator applications.
The compactly designed device provides installation flexibility for fast and straightforward integration in single or double-acting cylinders. With a working range from 50 up to 2000mm in 25mm-steps, a selection of plug-in or screw flange mounting is offered with an innovative connector system for closed or open bore cylinders highlighting M12 connectors and multiple length cables - without the requirement for further wiring. For in-cylinder applications, a protection rating of up to IP67 is provided with high-pressure resistance up to 350 bar nominal and up 450 bar for pressure peaks. A working temperature rating from -40C to +105C assures extensive use in the severest environments, while the non-contacting operation of the magnetostrictive position measurement technology guarantees prolonged and trouble-free working life.
The CAN interface options join a complete list of impressive specifications for the series, comprising conformity to EN 13309 for construction machinery and ISO 14982 for agricultural machinery. Engineered for usage in applications with the highest EMC demands, RF protection is up to 200V/m - meeting ISO 11452-2 and exceeding the E1 requirements of the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). Several mechanically decoupled, passive ring-shaped or U-shaped position markers provide flexibility for cylinder integration while a floating position marker satisfies level measurement tasks.
