A new 3U VPX conduction-cooled plug-in card based on the Intel Xeon W-11000E Series processor (formerly known as Tiger Lake-H) has been released by Concurrent Technologies. The device is for use as the system controller in high-performance sensor-based solutions in the defence space employed in Situational Awareness, Software Defined Radio and RADAR processing applications.
The TR L9x/6sd-RCx has been created in alignment with the SOSA Technical Standard for I/O intensive processor boards. There are two processor options: an eight-core solution fitted with the Intel Xeon W-11865MRE processor; a four-core solution fitted with an Intel Xeon W-11155MRE processor. Both of these processors are supplied with an integral GPGPU engine with 32 Execution Units which can be utilised for display or acceleration purposes using OpenCL, OneAPI or OpenVINO for image processing or AI. It is the first processor board from the company to support up to 100GBASE-KR4 Ethernet capability, which makes it ideal for many future applications requiring high throughput communications. It supports various standard security capabilities, including Boot Guard, Total Memory Encryption and is fitted with a Trusted Platform Module for key storage. The company also offers an additional Guardian Package for enhanced security.
Dr Miles Adcock, CEO of Concurrent Technologies, commented: “Since joining Concurrent Technologies, I have been impressed by our attitude to develop cutting edge products that have market differentiation and our ability to manufacture them in our own high quality, controlled facility.
