High-reliability connectors for aerospace and industrial applications

Lane Electronics offers high-reliability signal and power connectors from Positronic, providing mission-critical performance. These industry-standard D-Sub subminiature connectors are ideal for aerospace, defence, industrial and medical applications.

The D-Sub connector product families available from Lane Electronics include the Mil-Spec M24308 and can be specified in multiple performance options for the best cost/performance ratio.

They offer over 20 D-Sub product series to choose from. These connectors comprise two or more parallel rows of contacts surrounded by the metal shell. The shell not only offers mechanical support and ensures the correct orientation, but it can also screen against EMI. They are offered in RoHS and non-RoHS compliant versions and are intended for board to board, cable to cable or board and panel to cable or board applications.

The standard density high-reliability product types are available in six package sizes with 9-50 size 20 or 22 contacts with a current rating per contact up to 14A. The Combo-D connector is a sub-category of D-sub connectors, characterised by a mixed density insulator that combines size eight and size 20 or 22 contacts providing for the combination of signal, power, fibre optic, coax, and high voltage contacts in a single package. Excellent as an input/output connector interface, these connectors provide many package sizes and contact alternatives and a mixture of accessories and options, including blind mating and sequential mating.
