Control board facilitates detection and tracking of multi-finger thick gloved touch

Microchip Technology ATMXT640UD-DEV-PCB Control Board (EV30P71A), available now from Mouser, is a development platform for the ATMXT640UD maXTouch Touchscreen Controller. It includes proprietary differential touch sensing, providing unparalleled noise immunity ensuring superior touch performance even in harsh environments. The device facilitates detection and tracking of multi-finger thick gloved touch through a wide variety of overlay materials and thicknesses, even in the presence of moisture, water, and even saltwater. Combined with a high acquisition speed, these features provide a fast, accurate, and reliable touch solution. The controller also includes diagnostic functions, which constantly monitor the integrity of the touch system.

The board features a pre-installed ATMXT640UD maXTouch Touchscreen Controller in a 6mm x 6mm UFBGA-88 package. The Control Board is created to be used with the MaxTouch Bridge Board (ATUSB-HSBB-PCB), which allows connection to a PC running the maXTouch Studio LITE software.
