Facial recognition technology is finally coming into its own. Now, smart AI-driven facial recognition technology is common in finance, smart retail, transportation and even healthcare applications. As adoption increases, facial recognition devices are needed to function in ever-more-challenging environments and locations. Keeping all these developments in mind, Apacer has developed and released the CH120 series of industrial cards powered by the latest 112-layer BiCS5 3D TLC NAND technology, optimised for AI facial recognition and smart IoT applications.
It promises concrete, measurable advantages for SSDs, as it dramatically enhances capacity while keeping transmission latency ultra-low. its A2-grade CH120 series provides 4,000/2,000IOPS for 4K image read/write performance. And compromised environments will not slow these cards down either – their wide temperature range inducates they function smoothly in temperatures as low as -40C and as high as 85C. The CH120 series of industrial cards also have value-adding over-provisioning and SLC-liteX technology. The former drastically decreases write amplification, extending an SSD's operational lifespan, while the latter enables an SSD to increase its endurance to up to 30,000 P/E cycles. That is ten times higher than standard 3D TLC SSDs.
The series of industrial cards stand in a diverse BiCS5 3D TLC product lineup with ST250 2.5" drives and the M.2 2280 industrial SSDs. Even more significant upgrades in terms of capacity (up to 2TB), latency and reliability will be offering future appealing advantages for 5G, smart IoT, edge computing, secure surveillance, smart healthcare, and deep learning applications.
