Saelig Company now offers the X2E XORAYA N4000 - a powerful datalogger aimed at automotive applications which can record data from multiple bus systems simultaneously at data rates of up to 3Gbit/s. Each logger is supplied with 20 x HS-CAN/CAN FD, 8 x RS-232, 2 x FlexRay, and eight Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The logger is provided with an SFP+ interface for 10GBase-T and is housed in a robust, hermetically sealed case with an active cooling system. The device has three slots for plug-in card options, which offer flexible configuration options for the data logger, allowing it to be assembled or retrofitted according to differing customer needs. An add-on board is also provided to equip the data logger with 24x LIN connections. In this way, the data logger may be quickly and efficiently adapted to changing test conditions and adapted to ever-changing project needs.

Optional modules offered include LS-CAN, HS-CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, RS-232, LIN, Ethernet, 100/1000Base-T1 (OABR), PSI5, and analog signal inputs. Support for other bus systems is also feasible for particular needs. All data is logged with a precise, central timestamp delivering 100ns resolution and saved on the internal SSD or transferred through Ethernet to an external computer system or XORAYA External Storage Unit. A built-in supercapacitor unit bridges any power fluctuations and delivers the ability to shut the logger down during power failures safely. The data logger supports x2e’s own DLN and the PLP to adapt various probes to the logger.

Successor to the XORAYA Z7, the new device is based on the Zynq Ultra-Scale+ quadcore ARM Cortex-A53 and is widely employed by European car manufacturers. The built-in Xilinx FPGA and RAM may be exchanged for even further increased performance for a more powerful FPGA module. The internal SSD memory can be extended from the standard 240GB to as large as 1TB. Other customer-specific solutions can be acquired, from unique cable sets to corresponding custom installation racks for test vehicles. Software provided incorporates the Logger OS (Embedded Linux) with XORAYA Suite and XORAYA SDK for Microsoft Windows.
