New pressure transmitters offer USB plug and play connection

ADZ Nagano announced that its new pressure transmitters offer USB powered plug-and-play interfaces. The new USB series is available in the UK from Variohm EuroSensor. The new USB series provides user-selectable pressure measurement ranges between vacuum and 5000 bar. Their comprehensive specification, with parameters altered according to customer needs, is targeted at general industrial and process technology applications. Generic drivers enable measurement data to be recorded and processed on computers utilising simple commands or as part of front-end development software.

Based on ADZ Nagano’s complete SML series industrial pressure sensors, the USB is offered with fully sealed, IP65 protection class housings in stainless steel or titanium. A comprehensive choice of process connections are offered, and material in contact with media comprises stainless steel, silicon, titanium, NBR, or PA66 according to application needs. A single connection cable with a USB-A connector is provided.

General specifications include a medium temperature range of -40C – +125C and a compensated area temperature between -20C – +85C, with a typical total error at room temperature of ±0.50% FS. The typical measurement time response in the 10% to 90% range is 2msec. These robust and durable pressure sensors provide DIN EN 60068 shock resistance of 1000g, vibration resistance of 20g and a shock load capability of 50g.
