To assist EMC engineers in meeting the growing demand for higher measurement speeds, Rohde & Schwarz introduces a unique wideband solution that can measure up to 970MHz in real-time while maintaining a high dynamic range and measurement accuracy. With this new extension, the R&S ESW EMI test receiver features the largest bandwidth in the industry and becomes the fastest EMI test receiver on the market.
To speed up measurement time and to provide a more careful analysis of interfering signals, the receiver will offer the possibility to increase its FFT bandwidth to 350MHz with the new R&S ESW-B350 option and to a market-leading 970MHz with the new R&S ESW-B1000 option. This makes it not only an instrument of the highest performance in RF, functionality, versatility and hardware quality but also in high-speed testing, particularly for pretests and general EMI analysis.
With the ESW-B1000 providing 970MHz of FFT bandwidth, the R&S ESW can process the CISPR Bands C and D in one shot – even with quasi-peak and CISPR average detectors working in parallel – providing a notable gain in measurement speed. The 970MHz wide spectrum is measured in real-time; users gain from a truly gapless spectrogram. Infrequent emissions can be scrutinised over a particularly longer time and are detected with a much higher probability. Emissions from equipment under test going via a duty cycle are recorded over a broad spectrum of 970MHz without missing the shortest pulse.
EMC engineers working in commercial, defence, aerospace and automotive applications will benefit from the faster speed and better signal insights provided by the new FFT bandwidth extensions of the R&S ESW.
