Rohde & Schwarz are showcasing its R&S QPS product family at the annual International Security Expo, that includes the R&S QPS201 and R&S QPS Walk2000 security scanners for advanced people screening.

The company provides security solutions for a broad array of businesses and organisations providing security and peace of mind through its product family, using mmWave screening, a completely touchless, safe, comfortable, and convenient security approach.

The R&S QPS201 enhanced Advanced Imaging Technology security scanner provides a market-leading high security performance and a fast and more comfortable scanning experience. The solution offers high-performance security screening utilising safe mmW radio frequency technology to screen people rapidly and accurately for concealed objects. The technology is trusted and certified throughout the aviation industry with over 1,000 scanners successfully in service at airports worldwide since 2015. It has achieved ECAC approval and has been certified by the TSA, as it satisfies its stringent detection demands.

The R&S QPS Walk2000 security scanner is the first of its kind walk-through mmW scanner for swift, contactless, full-body screening in high footfall areas. The scanner provides two advantages: persons can keep wearing their outer garments like coats or jackets and can pass through the scanner at walking speed with no need to “pause and pose”. It is created to process up to 750 people per hour and, therefore, ideal for fast crowd processing such as employee screening throughout a shift change in a distribution centre.
