More accessories released for bestselling handheld enclosures

OKW’s bestselling handheld enclosure SMART-CASE now provides more accessories than any of its other 18 ultra-portable housings.

This versatile enclosure (IP 65 optional) is perfect for various remote control and mobile solutions – whether the device is connected by cable or powered by a battery (AAA, AA, 9V or 12V round cell). It has proved especially popular for medical, wellness and industrial electronics.

Accessories now comprise docking stations for charging and data transfer, wall holders, a rail clamp, ring eyelets, belt/pocket clips, a lanyard and a key ring. There are also a battery holder and contact (both use 2 x AAA), battery clips (2 x N, 2 x AA, 2 x AAA), contacts for the stations, a plug-in contact (1 x 9V), IP 65 ingress protection seals, a cable strain relief clamp, and self-tapping screws for PCBs.

The case's ergonomic design provides maximum user comfort. The large operating area is recessed to house a membrane keypad or product label. Inside, are fastening pillars and fixing supports for PCBs and components.

There are four sizes varying from XS (58mm x 35.6mm x 19mm) to XL (168mm x 74.4mm x 35.4mm). Size XS provides an eyelet for a key ring. Sizes M, L and XL can be selected either with/without a battery compartment, cable gland and recessed top.

The case is moulded in either ABS or infrared-transparent PMMA Plexiglas as standard, are rated UL 94 HB for flammability resistance. The standard colours provided are off-white (RAL 9002) or black (RAL 9005).

The case can be fully customised. Services include CNC machining, printing, lacquering, laser marking, special materials, decor foils, EMC shielding and installation/assembly of accessories.
