Reinforced switch drivers suit a wide range of applications

Texas Instruments TPSI3050/TPSI3050-Q1 Reinforced Isolated Switch Drivers, available now from Mouser, are fully integrated and form a completely isolated SSR combined with an external power switch. The nominal gate drive voltage of 10V with 1.5A/3A peak source and sink current enables a large variety of external power switches to be selected, fulfilling a wide range of applications.

The reinforced switch drivers generate a secondary bias supply from the power received from its primary side, so no isolated secondary supply bias is required. Further, the TPSI3050-Q1 can optionally supply power to external supporting circuitry for different application needs.

The device is provided in a SOIC 8-pin (DWZ) 7.5mm x 5.85mm package.

Typical application areas include SSR, battery management systems, onboard chargers; hybrid, electric, and powertrain systems; building automation, and factory automation and control.
