MCUs for low-memory applications needing high-speed performance

31-08-2023 | Mouser Electronics | Semiconductors

Mouser now stocks the RA4E2 MCUs from Renesas Electronics. Featuring a 100MHz Arm Cortex-M33 core, the MCUs provide an entry-level solution for creating low-memory, low-pin count, small-package applications.

The MCUs deliver robust peripherals, including a 12-bit ADC, a general PWM timer, USB FS device, SCI, SPI, I3C, SSI, CANFD, and HDMI-CEC. The MCUs are compatible with the Open Arm ecosystem, while the devices' easy-to-use flexible software package supports straightforward development and migration for various designs and applications. The MCUs include 128Kbytes code Flash memory, 40KBytes SRAM, and 4KBytes data flash.

The RA4E2 evaluation kits support the MCUs. The evaluation kits allow users to seamlessly evaluate the features of the MCU group and create embedded systems applications utilising the flexible software package and e2 studio IDE. The rich onboard features and a range of popular ecosystem add-ons can serve as excellent starting points for designers to create their custom applications. The evaluation kits support high-speed performance testing and evaluation of safety features.

The MCUs provide high-speed performance for applications, including smart home devices, consumer electronics, medical devices, and industrial sensor networks.
