Mouser now stocks the new S32G3 Vehicle Networking Reference Design from NXP Semiconductors. The highly optimised and integrated board is based on the S32G3 vehicle network processor and provides reference for automotive applications such as vehicle SoGs, domain control, vehicle black boxes for data logging, and safety checking for ADAS and autonomous driving. The design supports essential automotive functions, including FOTA, automotive access points, vehicle compute, and zonal gateways.
The design uses its octal Arm Cortex-A53 cores (with optional cluster lockstep) and quad, dual-core lockstep Arm Cortex-M7 cores to supply a high-performance computing capacity. The reference design features 18 CAN/CAN FD and 12 Ethernet ports, provides real-time network performance, multi-gigabit packet acceleration and security, and rich I/O. The board is highly efficient, supporting low-power modes and multiple wake-up sources. Expansion options are provided by two M.2 slots and a PCIe socket.
The S32G Vehicle Integration Platform (GoldVIP) supplies designers with a reference vehicle integration platform, accelerating hardware evaluation, software development, and rapid prototyping for next-generation automotive solutions. GoldVIP provides out-of-the-box integration of open-source software components and third-party software on top of the S32G software ecosystem, supplying AUTOSAR and Linux rapid development and sample applications. The key value propositions of the hardware accelerators are showcased through example use cases, fast deployment and visualisation.
