Rutronik has expanded its range of supercapacitors for the automotive industry with the new automotive-grade types FMD0H334ZF, FU0H105ZF, and FMU0H334ZF from KEMET. Optimised design and materials facilitate a long service life of up to 1,000 hours at 85C (FMD, FU) and 105C (FMU). The components also fulfil the special necessities of the THB test (85C/85% rH/1,000h) for the automotive industry. The components are ideal for memory backup and RTC support, thanks to their characteristics. They fulfil the necessities of AEC-Q200 and are produced in a TS16949-certified factory.
The new automotive-grade supercapacitors ensure uninterrupted functionality; even if the main battery is replaced, there is a power failure or system error. A further contribution to reliable performance is made by the robust design, which makes the components exceptionally resistant to shocks and vibrations.
The FMD0H334ZF has a capacitance of 330mF, with a temperature range from -40C to +85C. It provides up to 1,000 hours of service life at a maximum of 85C/5.5V and measures 15mm x 14mm x 9mm. The FU0H105ZF provides a capacitance of 1,0F and a temperature range from -40C to +85C. It fulfils the THB test (85C/85% rH/1,000 h). It offers 4,000 hours of service life at a maximum of 85C/5.5V and measures 21.5mm x 15mm (h). The FMU0H334ZF has a capacitance value of 330mF with a temperature range from -40C to +105C. It fulfils the THB test (85C/85% rH/1,000h) and offers 1,000 hours of service life at a maximum of 105C/5.5V. The device measures 15mm x 14mm x 9mm.
The possible applications for the supercapacitors include ADAS, RTC backup, and memory backup.
