Connectors offering notable size and weight savings are available now

Powell Electronics now offers Glenair's Series 806 Mil-Aero connectors. These products deliver significant size and weight savings while fulfilling key performance benchmarks for various applications, such as commercial and defence aerospace, industrial robotics, transportation systems, and more.

Series 806 connectors are not just about size and weight savings. They are designed to withstand harsh vibration, shock, and environmental settings, making them ideal for high-altitude, unpressurised aircraft zones. The connectors feature innovative mechanical design elements, such as durable mechanical insert retention, radial seals, and triple-ripple grommet seals, ensuring their reliability even in the most demanding conditions.

These connectors feature size 22HD and 20HD contacts and size 8 power and high-speed El Ochito, quadrax, and fibre optic options. The devices provide up to twice the number of contacts with no reduction in performance. Independent laboratory testing has demonstrated that the connectors meet, and in many cases even exceed, the requirements of the MIL-DTL-38999 specification. A 'top hat' insulator with raised bosses ensures foolproof alignment of insulator cavities. An O-ring radial interface sealing design instead of a flat gasket provides easier metal-to-metal coupling, improved sealing, and better EMI performance.
