Mouser now stocks the Microchip Technology RNWF02 early access development kit. The development kit simplifies the integration of Wi-Fi with a host MCU for seamless cloud connectivity, providing a cost-effective, plug-and-play design that aids implementation for home and industrial automation, remote equipment monitoring, health and fitness and IoT applications.

The early access development kit offers the RNWF02 module, a low-power 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11b/g/n compliant, fully RF-certified wireless module developed for IoT applications. The kit’s wireless LAN module is simple to set up and connect to the cloud using simple text (ASCII) commands. The development kit enables rapid prototyping with a two-wire or four-wire UART interface to the host MCU using Microchip’s simple ASCII-based AT commands to configure the module for easy integration into most applications dynamically.

The early access development kit features an integrated PA, TX/RX switch with power management, immutable secure boot with hardware root of trust, strong security featuring WPA3 and TLS authentication, and encryption with embedded iPv6 TCP/IP stack support.
