RECOM launch 40A and 10A DC/DCs with wide input and output ranges. The new cost-effective RPMGE-10 and RPMGH-40 non-isolated DC-DCs are rated for 10A and 40A output in eighth and half brick formats respectively. Input for both is 18-75VDC to suit a variety of nominal values. These series are available with nominal 5V or 12V DC outputs which can be trimmed 3.3-8VDC and 8-34VDC respectively for a wide variety of applications.

The parts feature advanced thermal design and high efficiency, up to 95%, providing operation at full load for most variants to more than 100C ambient with airflow and to 120C with derating at nominal input and output voltages. Cool running under nominal conditions contributes to an MTBF for all variants of more than 1.2M hours, according to MIL-HDBK-217F.

On/off, output trim, and remote sense control inputs are provided, while protection features include under-voltage lockout, overload, over-temperature, and short-circuit. Parts are provided in open frame, through-hole mounting format with industry-standard dimensions and pinouts.

Matthew Dauterive, MSc, DC-DC product manager of RECOM, comments: “These new non-isolated DC-DCs are super-flexible with their wide input and output voltage ranges, suiting many cost-sensitive and high-performance point-of-load regulator applications.”
