Fully-round interactive display module offers excellent design flexibility

Zytronic has unveiled its latest innovation – a truly round display module that incorporates its best-in-class ZYX500 multitouch PCAP technology. The module, which can be mounted onto a wall or integrated into a table, is a powerhouse of functionality that designers can tailor to the modern user’s needs.

As a table, this piece of furniture will allow designers to marry stunning design with the possibility of further technological features. There are options to extend the border area beyond the display and seamlessly combine floating induction phone chargers and mechanical or static activation buttons into the table’s surface.

The recently developed floating glass button that mounts onto the surface of the module either within the display area or the extended border supplies designers with a unique ability for independent control and full data addressability. It enables designers to create a hybrid of digital display interactivity with the output actions of the physical button. This innovative combination provides for a richer, more engaging user experience.

Designers can also use the company's in-house glass processing capabilities to add surface-carved joggle wheels, buttons, and sliders that supply users an enhanced tactile and responsive touch experience. In addition, its bespoke glass printing services can help create intricate patterns, graphics, and branding in various colour combinations.

The potential of the company's PCAP touch sensor technology and controller is not limited to glass surfaces. Technical director, Dr Andrew Morrision, states: “We can detect touch through various other materials, including leather, concrete, and wood. This expanded capability gives designers a wider range of options to create unique aesthetics while offering users a responsive touch experience. The versatility of our technologies and capabilities opens up new possibilities for interactive design, making it a game-changer in the industry.”

This round interactive module is not just a display unit; it is a versatile solution that designers can tailor to many environments. Whether it’s improving the ambience of a coffee shop, adding a touch of innovation to corporate break rooms, or redefining the waiting areas in public spaces, allowing designers to elevate any setting it graces. Its adaptability and innovative features make it a statement of what the future holds for interactive environments.
