Spoofing and jamming protection enhanced with firmware update

u-blox has announced the first support for Galileo OSNMA in the firmware update of its ZED-F9P high-precision GNSS module.

This enhancement advances the spoofing and jamming detection capabilities of the well-established multi-band GNSS module. It ensures robust and reliable performance for multiple applications, such as robotic lawnmowers, UAEs, surveying, and mapping.

The ZED-F9P-05B is the first of the company's products to adopt OSNMA, a cryptographically strong solution to spoofing, setting a new standard in the industry for GNSS security and reliability.

The update helps ensure the product's outstanding performance. Features include improved spoofing and jamming detection to guarantee end-product robustness against tampering and malicious attacks and improved RTK convergence to lower the risk of incorrect readings important to surveying-related applications.

The addition of the SPARTN Beidou satellite constellation support also improves the capabilities of the GNSS receivers and boosts the performance of the company's PointPerfect GNSS correction service in some regions. The receivers feature an advanced ionospheric model, producing more robust performance during elevated ionospheric activities.
