With the continuous advancements in electronics, there is a growing demand for components that deliver high reliability. Furthermore, many applications now need higher power dissipation and superior pulse withstanding capabilities in compact case sizes. Stackpole Electronics has developed its automotive-grade resistor family to meet these evolving needs without incurring prohibitive costs and long lead times. Addressing the demand for higher power pulse requirements in smaller footprints, it proudly introduces its latest offering in this product family, the RPCA-UP series in a 0603 chip size.

The series 0603 chip offers an impressive 0.33W power rating, where the standard for this size is commonly 0.125W. The series is AEC-Q200 qualified and delivers outstanding pulse handling thanks to proprietary materials, design, and manufacturing processes. This series has demonstrated exceptional performance in all AEC-Q200 tests, improving the expected failure rate by a factor of at least ten compared to general-purpose resistors. Also, the series provides excellent anti-sulphur performance, passing the industry-standard ANSI/EIA-977 sulphur test with minimal resistance shift at 105C.
