TRUMPower has added the new TMPD65 series power adapters to its line of medical-grade power supplies. With the rise in electronic devices taking advantage of USB Type C connectors, TRUMPower is proud to introduce its first medical-grade power adapter capable of providing up to 3.25A with Power Delivery at voltages of 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V. The flexibility of the USB-C connector and its Power Delivery function allows the power supply to be safely used across multiple devices, allowing users to minimise the necessity of purchasing numerous power adapters which only charge specific devices. The 65W power supply is compliant to DOE Level VI and ErP Tier 2 and is approved to the latest medical standards, making it suitable for various medical applications.

The power adapters are Class I units equipped with either IEC 320/C6 or IEC 320/C14 AC inlets and have dimensions of 4.49” (L) x 1.97” (W) x 1.34” (H). These power supplies can operate at temperatures between 0C to +70C ambient while derating linearly from 100% load at +40C to 50% load at +70C and operate at altitudes up to 5,000m. The power adapters are extremely reliable, with an MTBF of 300,000 hours minimum at full load and 25C ambient, as calculated per Telecordia SR-332.

The series is certified to the latest medical standards, including UL/IEC/EN 60601-1 (Edition 3.2), ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 (2021), and CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1 (2022). It is also certified to the most recent ITE standard of IEC 62368-1 (3rd edition). The power adapters comply with IEC/EN 60601-1-2 (Edition 4.1) medical EMC and immunity standards including EN 55011/EN55032, FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-8, and EN 61000-4-11.
