New graphical display software for creating electronic display systems

08-08-2024 | Flowcode | Industrial

The Flowcode team offers support for creating electronic systems with Graphical Displays. Flowcode 10.1 now includes over 30 monochrome and colour display drivers at multiple resolutions. Chips supported include ILI9488, SSD1351, SH1106, and even the round version of GC9A01A. Resistive and capacitive touch devices supported include FT6X06, GT911 and XPT2046. Software for shape drawing, text with embedded fonts, embedded bitmaps and graphs is included. The software supports various parallel communication modes, such as the SPI bus and I2C. Code compiles to over 1700 microcontrollers from the PIC8, PIC16, PIC32, ARM, Arduino, AVR, RPi, and ESP32 families. The result is that Flowcode users can now design sophisticated graphical display systems based on thousands of displays from many manufacturers for many microcontrollers.

All graphical displays and touch systems can be simulated on-screen before compilation, which considerably speeds up the design process. The new features are included in the FREE version of Flowcode, which supports more than 20 targets, including Arduinos, PICs, and ESP32 devices.
