Stick-on EMC patch attenuates like a shielding cabinet

Würth Elektronik has released its hybrid WE-EMIP EMI absorber sheet, a convenient solution for preventing EMI. The integrated adhesive layer makes the patch easy to stick on. It provides high attenuation exceeding 40dB over a wide frequency range. Both isolated and non-isolated versions are obtainable. The non-isolated version permits the option of earthing.

The hybrid absorber sheet, which comprises EMI absorber material and an aluminium layer, is now supplied in the following sizes: as a sheet 105mm × 74mm, 297mm × 210mm, or as a roll 15m × 50mm. The company supplies a product to easily control EMC problems associated with radiated emissions and protect sensitive components. The patch delivers up to 12 times higher attenuation than previously available absorber sheets and helps attain attenuation values otherwise achievable only with shielding cabinets.
