Accelerator card for high-performance compute applications

17-09-2024 | Mouser Electronics | Industrial

Mouser now offers the AMD Alveo V80 compute accelerator card. The accelerator card features a powerful AMD Versal HBM adaptive SoC that integrates faster HBM2e DRAM to overcome memory bottlenecks in HPC applications like genomic sequencing, molecular dynamics, data analytics, network security, sensor processing, computational storage, and fintech.

The accelerator card is based on the 7nm Versal adaptive SoC architecture, powered by an AMD Versal HBM device, delivering 820GB/s with 4x200G networking, PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 interfaces, DDR4 DIMM slots for memory expansion, and Mini-Cool Edge I/O connectors to scale across compute and storage nodes at PCIe Gen5 speeds. The AMD Alveo V80 accelerator is also ideal for fintech and blockchain workloads demanding massive parallelism and involving large data sets like algorithmic trading back-testing, option pricing, and Web3 blockchain cryptography.

The compute accelerator card supports custom data types with the capability for 100s of nodes with built-in cryptographic engines and adaptable hardware that is also ideal for firewall and custom packet monitoring while offering the highest logic density, network throughput and memory bandwidth in the AMD Alveo portfolio.
