New bar-type touch display offers a full viewing angle

03-09-2024 | Inelcohunter | Industrial

Inelco Hunter has announced the availability of the new Powertip 3.9" Bar-Type display, the latest addition to its 'Letterbox' range of touch panels.

The display provides a high-resolution screen with a full viewing angle. The main aspect ratio of TFT displays currently on the market is 4:3 or 16:9, but for some applications (e.g., applications where height is an issue), a bar-type display panel is a better solution.

Application examples include machine control panels, factory automation, audio, industrial and scientific equipment, medical, server, and security systems, as well as domestic appliances such as dishwashers, extractor hoods, and electronic hobs.

The panel is a transmissive LCD touch screen using OCA bonding technology, delivering a full viewing angle and an unlit colour in black. It has an RGB-Strip interface and 480*3 (RGB) * 128 Dots display resolution. The Drive IC is a ST7282A-G6-E4S device, and the output interface is I2C. With an operating temperature of -20C to +70C and brightness of 550cd/m2, MTBF lifetime of up to 50,000 hours (25C, IF= 200mA), the 3.9" bar-type display is an excellent solution for many areas.
